Happy Couples

I’d admired the house from afar on various trips up the mountain. I looked at other venues but they were all just backup plans!

It was exactly what I had in mind. It was intimate but not in a tiny space, I appreciated the fact you only did one wedding a day/weekend. The multiple options for locations and gorgeous scenery helped as well as the friendliness and openness of Cameron & yourself.

I felt comfortable at the location. I didn’t feel like a vision I didn’t want was being pushed onto me by anyone else. I just knew I was in good hands.

I would say – do it and never regret it. But I am one for bully statements as opposed to persuasion! Seriously though – I would tell them that if you guys couldn’t make their wedding happen then there was no one who ever could.

Price was a factor. We got far more bang for our buck for a similar pricing structure. However, no amount of great prices would make up for any lack of atmosphere and a crap location. SEV had both a fantastic location as well as a great price.

Providing a gorgeous Marquee that added an unexpected level of glamour. Having Cameron take us around in his awesome truck for our beautiful photos. It was so relaxed and fun and it made the entire process of the photos so much easier. The pictures of us being silly near the island are some of my favourites and I remember the entire time with hilarity and warmth.

My wedding day was just fantastic. It was exactly the type of wedding I wanted and it was just wonderful. I’ve had many comments since on how enjoyable everyone found the wedding from the food to the scenery to the lovely reception area. One of our guests would like to get married there once they get engaged they were that taken with it.

Thank you guys for just being so wonderful.

Initially, we were a little hesitant to choose SEV purely because of distance and nothing else. But after visiting many venues around the Byron Bay area as soon as we visited Sarabah we knew that the distance was well worth it!

The biggest thing that stood out to us about Sarabah was the fact that it had parking for all guests in venue premises. Most outdoor wedding venues we had visited, required buses to be hired which adds additional costs for the couple who are already spending a lot of money on their special day. So any cost that could be cut down is a massive bonus during the never ending wedding planning process. So parking was an important factor in deciding which outdoor venue suits us the most.

Cameron, the property owner and host, was absolutely magnificent in every single way. He was so welcoming and warm that we immediately felt like a family. Having been in contact with many other previous venue owners during the wedding venue hunting phase, Cameron definitely stood out. We were used to chasing answers to our questions repeatedly over and over again, but Cameron took the time to take us around every little corner of the property, explain the run for the whole day and was so easy going that he really does his very best to approve and make every small detail happen personalized to each couple. When answering questions, Cameron expands in much detail that we we’re left with nothing more to ask because he really does take the time to clarify and relax a crazy bride that has a billion and five things running through her head for the big day :). His replies to emails were prompt with great detail and he continuously took the time to provide reassurance which was very helpful.

We loved the fact that both the Ceremony and Reception were in the same place which meant once guests arrive, they can relax and enjoy every moment of it without looking at the time and re-organising transport again from ceremony to reception.

We also loved the fact that there was already a Marquee on premises to be used for reception to maintain that outdoor feel. The availability and option of having a fire pit outside the Marquee added extra unique touches to the whole thing.

The ceremony view was spectacular, overlooking the vineyards which was very unique to Sarabah only. The fact that it was on a hill added extra character to the venue with the beautiful french chalet on the background. So really, wherever you turned there was something beautiful to look at. A 180 degree heaven to the eyes and lungs :).

We charmed by the countryside entrance to Rymera Rd (with free roaming cows and horses around as you drive in, just added that extra character to it all) that eventually led to the beautiful grand entrance to Sarabah Estate with shrubs on either side and a beautiful gate opening as you come close, with the car.

All in all, the parking, venue scenery and the warm and welcoming nature of the property owner Cameron who always put 110% effort to plan and create our fairy-tale were the three most important things that helped us choose Sarabah Estate as our wedding venue.

If a potential Bride & Groom was on the fence about whether to book SEV or not, I would definitely say DO ITTTTT, you won’t regret it, I promise!

The two most significant moments of our wedding day that SEV made happen for us was the ceremony layout, our own arbour set-up that Cameron had insisted he set-up on the day (I felt a little hesitant to trust anyone else putting the arbour up but ourselves, so that I could see the end product before the day, but I put my OCD aside, and on the day it was beyond perfect) turned out magical. The second most significant moment from our special day was the organization and how everything ran so smoothly thanks to our wedding coordinator Cameron who is as equally as OCD as I am.

Cameron, your efforts will never be forgotten at how hard you tried and excelled in making our day beyond PERFECT. Your wife, Toni is an absolute gem and your son Callvm is a copy and paste of you, so really as perfect as you are; if I had a sister, I’d arrange a marriage for her with Callvm :).

Once again thank you for all you have done for us and thank you for dealing with this crazy bride for the past year. I’m so glad to have found you and couldn’t have chosen a better venue even if I tried in my dreams.

Hope to see you soon in the near future again. We shall come for a surprise visit soon I hope!

All the very best!

From the moment we entered the estate we were in love!! From the beautiful surrounding and the exceptional customer service, we were instantly sold on this venue! We had no hesitations whatsoever choosing SEV for our wedding day.

Jesse and I are both lovers of wine, but most importantly we were looking for a venue that went with our wedding theme ‘Natural Elegance’.

We are both country people so we like the natural surroundings of the mountains and views, but also wanted a venue that was classy and elegant!

When I walked into the country inspired marquee that had wine barrel chandeliers, I couldn’t have my reception anywhere else. I thought to myself ”wow Jesse this is us” – I had made my choice”! ”That is where we would have our reception”. This is the main reason we specifically choose SEV but it was the whole package really.

SEV is not only the most beautiful place on Earth to get married, it is so much more than that! The customer service is exceptional, the food is of high quality with generous size portions ‘fine dining’, dinner was all served by a well-dressed team who delivered the meals in a timely manner (no one was waiting nor left hungry), the whole team was friendly, approachable and communicated well when necessary. Our entire day run very smoothly thanks to excellent service SEV provided.

If you want a fairy tale wedding then this is the place to have your wedding! You won’t be disappointed, in fact it will exceed your expectations.

Ps. As Jesse said ”why would you want your wedding anywhere else?”

Jesse & Linda

Years ago, I visited the estate under different ownership with my mum for her birthday. I decided on that day, that my wedding would be there. With a love for wine, all things Italian and the natural environment, it was a perfect choice. And when Pete proposed years later in Italy, I immediately looked Sarabah up. Thankfully, Cameron had purchased the property and imagined the same things as me and my dreams turned to reality!

Initially, we selected Sarabah for it’s outlook, vistas, beautiful natural environment and the manor… with its columns, it was an obvious choice for an Italian romance. Secondly, we were looking for a private venue. We were not interested in sharing our wedding with other weddings, either on the same day, or same weekend. We wanted a private venue to enjoy with our close friends and family.

In all honesty, Cameron made us believe that Sarabah was the best when we visited the venue on a Friday afternoon. We, (or maybe it was just me : ) had pretty much already decided, but Cameron really made our minds up for us that afternoon, with a private tour, Also, we loved the food menu… good quality tasty food, not too fancy and not too casual.

I would say, here is a venue with a difference. The majority of the venues in the Hinterland are so similar. Sarabah is different. The surrounding hills make you feel like you are in a private world, the one wedding policy is fabulous, and the passion of the staff to express your love is like no other venue. This is a business, but Cameron is like your friends and the attention to detail in relation to creating a perfect wedding and a perfect party is very unique. I would also say… if you want to eat some of the best function food on the Gold Coast, then this is the place.

Pete and I wanted a beautiful ceremony. I was excited about being at the bottom of the aisle and only being able to see each other. The Manor was gorgeous, the gardens and roses were spectacular and the white chairs on the lawn set it all off. Secondly, we wanted an Italian theme, Italy is very near and dear to our hearts. Cameron was flexible in accommodating our requests.

The only comments I haven’t made, was that Pete and I were surprised with all the added extra details on the day. As a perfectionist, attention to detail, list-making kind of girl I was over the moon with the following things that we didn’t know about. And also, in a way it was nice that I didn’t know about these details as I would have only had too much extra to think about.

When my limo drove through the gates and your staff were standing there to greet us, it was such a nice surprise. Also the girls all thought your son was super cute at the gate and got a kick out of seeing him there. haha. Also, having the staff at the gates only added to the vibe that I was a VIP! Loved it.

The little blackboard signs throughout the estate, labeling parking etc, were so cute and perfect for my style. I’m not sure whether you guys use this style for all of your weddings, or whether you tried to specifically match my style, but it worked a treat.

The car! I wasn’t aware that we would get to use the special car!! I just assumed that the big 4WD would follow us during photos. But it was so perfect and the photos look great. Pete and I loved the photos on the back of it… a nice unanticipated touch. The photos look absolutely amazing.

That is all! We loved every minute!
